Mushrooms
Maria has an ongoing interest in developing creative practice in communication and research alongside fungi. She uses a unique mushroom communication device developed on residence at the AiiA festival working with Michel Zurcher which allows for Maria to investigate the responses of mushrooms to external physical and sonic stimulus.
The Tentaculae
Created at Theatre Snt. Gervais, Geneva, Switzerland, (2022) with subsequent showings at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra Festival (2022), the Creative Climate Awards (2023, NYC) and at the Intergalactic Space Jungle by the Makers World Artists in Huddersfield (2023)
